Churu, Rajasthan: In a cricket-themed attack on the Congress party during his visit to poll-bound Rajasthan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi likened the Congress' five-year rule in the state to a cricket match where the players are more occupied with running each other out than scoring runs.

Addressing a gathering in Taranagar, Churu district, PM Modi tapped into the cricket fervour ahead of India vs. Australia match, stating, "In cricket, a batsman comes and scores runs for his team. But there is such a fight among the Congress party that these people are busy running each other out."

BJP's Promise for Rajasthan

Promising a different approach, Modi asserted, "If you choose the BJP, we will throw out the team of corrupt people from Rajasthan." He pledged rapid development under the BJP, framing the upcoming elections as a chance for victory for the state's future.

Congress Critique on 'One Rank, One Pension'

The Prime Minister also criticised Congress on the 'One Rank, One Pension' issue, accusing them of causing trouble to the bravehearts and misleading them. He emphasised the bravery of the sons of Rajasthan and accused Congress of deceiving them.

Election Countdown and Past Results

The voting for the Rajasthan Assembly is scheduled for December 3, 2023. In the 2018 elections, the Congress secured 99 seats, while the BJP trailed with 73 seats in the 200-member House. The current Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot, took the oath with the support of BSP MLAs and independent legislators.

Cricket Fever Meets Political Heat

As cricket enthusiasm sweeps the nation, PM Modi creatively wove cricket analogies into his political discourse, aiming to bowl out the Congress and score a victory for the BJP in the upcoming elections."
