After being raped by a tantrik in Rajasthan’s Salumbar district, a class 10 student gave birth to a baby girl. Reportedly, the accused tantrik, who also works as a government employee in the Irrigation Department of the district, had raped the minor on the pretext of treating her after she had fallen sick.
This depressing incident came to light when the victim gave birth to a baby girl at a hospital on June 06. Soon after the delivery, the doctors informed the police when they discovered the mother was a minor.
Then, the police recorded her statement, however, no complaint has been lodged against the accused yet.
Just a month later on July 06, the family members of the victim approached the police and filed a case, alleging that the young girl was raped on the hospital premises only. After this, the police arrested the tantrik and two others who worked at the hospital’s parking area. Also, the minor was taken into the police custody.
“All the accused in the case have been arrested. The DNA of the victim’s baby has been sent for examination, said a senior police officer, Pradeep, adding that the report will be available after one month, which will clarify who is the actual father of the baby.
Meanwhile, the minor’s father said that they used to be near the Panchayat Committee, where they became acquainted with the tantrik, Lakshman.
During the Covid-19, her father started working at the Salumbar hospital. It was when his minor daughter fell sick, that the tantrik asked them to bring her to him, promising to cure her with his occult practices.
According to the police, the victim was raped by the tantrik several times on the pretext of treatment.
