A horrific incident has been reported from Rajasthan’s Jodhpur, where a drunk driver, enraged at being stopped by the traffic police, rammed his vehicle into the police car, killing a police personnel. Reportedly, both driver and police personnel died on the spot.

The incident has been reported from the Jodhpur-Nagaur highway in the vicinity of the Karwar police station on Tuesday evening at about 6.30 pm.

The SUV’s driver, Harishankar Vaishnav, a Jalasu Nanak resident in Nagaur, was apparently fighting over the phone and driving at a fast rate of speed while also being intoxicated. Following which, a dispute started when Bhawarlal Bishnoi, a senior police officer, who stopped him.

Soon after the police official issue the challan, the accused fled from the scene, just to return at the high speed of 120/kmph from the wrong side to hit the police car. Police personnel Bhawarlal Bishnoi and accused lost his life and police vehicle also destroyed completely due to collision.
