Punjab: Parking lot collapses, vehicles buried under debris in Mohali

On Wednesday evening, a parking lot collapsed near Sector-83 in Mohali. Several cars, predominantly two-wheelers, were damaged and covered with debris. No casualties have been reported in connection with the incident, according to the information.

According to information provided by the Mohali police, the parking lot collapsed while basement excavation for a nearby unfinished structure was getting started. CCTV footage of the incident showed two-wheelers and a few autos falling into a large pit in the parking area.

The DCP of Mohali, Harsimran Singh, confirmed that around 9-10 bikes and a couple of cars for damaged in the incident. No injuries have been reported, according to the statement. The officer also assured that a case will be registered against those who were found responsible.
