According to the most recent information provided by the Punjab Police, the low-intensity explosion took place close to Guru Ram Dass Niwas, which is located close to the Golden Temple in Amritsar. The police confirmed that five people who were involved in the blasts have been arrested. 

Taking it to Twitter, the DGP of Punjab Police confirmed that the five conspirators are been arrested. He mentioned, “Amritsar low-intensity explosion cases solved 5 persons arrested Press Conference will be held in #Amritsar @PunjabPoliceInd committed to maintaining peace and harmony in Punjab as per directions of CM @BhagwantMann”

On Thursday in the early hours, the blast took place close the Golden Temple. This was reportedly the third explosion in the previous week. Police officers and forensic experts flocked to the scene, and the investigation is still ongoing.

According to Police Commissioner Naunihal Singh, a loud noise was heard at around 12:30 in the morning. He added, “There’s a possibility that it could be another explosion. It is being verified and is yet to be confirmed. We have found some pieces behind the building. But since it is dark we are trying to find out.”

Notably, the blast occurred just behind the Guru Ram Dass Inn. CCTV footage showed that the suspect allegedly threw the bomb from the second floor of Guru Ram Dass Inn, or the pathway around the Golden Temple.
