A heart-wrenching incident happened in Maharashtra’s Pune, when two twin toddlers died and both of their parents were injured after their two-wheeler was hit by a petrol tanker in the Vishrantwadi area on Monday, said the police.
According to the police, this accident took place on Monday evening at around 5:00 pm.
Reportedly, a 40-year-old man, identified as Satish Jha, was riding a two-wheeler with his three-and-a-half-year-old twin daughters and wife as pillions.
Then, a petrol tanker hit the bike from behind at the Vishrantwadi Chowk signal just after the signal turned green, said the police.
In this accident, the twin toddlers died on the spot, while their parents sustained injuries, especially the mother. She is currently receiving treatment at the hospital. However, the father of the twins suffered minor injuries during the crash.
A case has been registered and the tanker driver has also been arrested, they said adding that further investigation is underway.
