The Gorakhpur police have registered gangster cases against 24 miscreants involved in heinous crimes like robbery, dacoity, murder, and gang rape. Many of these miscreants were out on bail, and the police started searching for them again.

Gang Rape and Looting Case

The Cantt police have registered a gangster case against eight miscreants who gang-raped and looted INR 64 lakh at Rustampur Dhale in the Ramgarhtal area in 2021. In April 2022, INR 4.60 lakh was also looted from Baldeva Plaza in the Cantt area. 

The gang rape and looting case accused are Manoj Chauhan, Maruti Nandan, Manoj Sahri, Rajkumar, Sunil Chauhan, Manoj Sahni alias Tomato, Virendra Kasoundhan, and Ajit Mishra alias Sonu Babu. The gang’s leader is Manoj Chauhan, against whom 15 cases are registered.

Murder Case

Ten people were sent to jail concerning the murder of utensil merchant Vicky Verma during Lakshmi idol immersion on 27 October 2022 at Dangipar in Khorabar. The accused, Raj Nishad, Shailendra Nishad, Govind Nishad, Abhishek Nishad, Shailendra, Murli, Makhan alias Upendra, Anshu, Avinash, and Amarnath Nishad, were involved in the murder. Raj is the leader of the Nishad gang.

Gang-Rape and Murder Case

Belipar police have registered a gangster case against six miscreants involved in murder and gang rape. The accused had killed Rahul Yadav with a cock-cutting knife in Jodapar village. The accused in the case are Santosh Nishad, Sugriva, Parvati Shahani, Manoj Nishad, Arjun Nishad, and Ramsahi of Jodapar. Santosh is the leader of the gang.

Legal Action Against Miscreants

SP City Krishna Kumar Bishnoi said the police had taken action against the miscreants who committed the crime under the gangster. The property acquired by the miscreants is also being identified, and legal action will be taken against them.
