During his visit to Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the National Panchayati Raj celebrations in the Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh. PM Modi will also visit the Union Territory Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu during his two-day visit.

Visit to Madhya Pradesh

As per sources, during his visit to Madhya Pradesh, PM Modi will also be addressing the representatives and functionaries of Panchayati Raj institutions and gram sabha across the country. The PM will be inaugurating projects worth Rs 7,853 crore and will also cover the Jal Jeevan Mission. It is also been said that the project will benefit around 9,48 lakh people and over 4,036 villages.

The PM will also perform the virtual ceremony of ‘Griha Pravesh’ which is antiquate performed before entering one’s new house. The virtual ceremony will be held for at least 4.11 lakh beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. As per the schedule, the program will be held at the SAF ground in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. along with this, the PM will also attend various other projects worth Rs 17,000 crore.

eGramSwaraj and GeM portal for public procurement at the Panchayat level will also be inaugurated by Prime Minster Modi. According to the official information, the PM will be launching nine different campaigns under the Samaveshi Vikaas theme. Taking to Twitter, “PM @narendramodi will launch 9 campaigns under #SamaveshiVikaas theme tomorrow at Rewa, MP. This is one of the themes of #AmritMahotsav and campaigns are led by @mord_goi. The PM will also launch a website and mobile app.”

The information shared by the Prime Minister’s Office, the objective of the eGramSwaraj-Government eMarketplace (GeM) integration is to enable the Panchayats to procure their goods and services through GeM, leveraging the eGramSwaraj platform.

Apart from this, the PM will also hand over around 35 lakhs of SVAMTIVA Property cards to the beneficiaries and will also hand over the 1.25 lakh property card under the scheme. Taking other steps towards the betterment of society, under the vision of ‘Housing for All’, another 4 lakh beneficiaries will be benefitted under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin.

In Madhya Pradesh, apart from benefit distributions, PM Modi will also lay the foundation of the various projects related to the railway stations that will cost around Rs 2300 crore. The project will be including the 100 percent electrification of the railway, along with various doubling, gauge conversion and electrification projects in the state. The foundation of the Gwalior railway station will also be laid by Prime Minister.

Visit to Daman and Diu

After this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be heading to Daman for the launch of Devka Seafront, thereafter he will be heading to Surat. Under his ariel schedule, the PM will cover a distance of 5,300 kilometres.

PM’s visit to Kochi

On April 25, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also visit Kochi, to participate in the Yuvam Conclave. Covering the distance of 190 km from Kochi to Thiruvananthapuram, PM will flag off Vande Bharat Express along with laying the stone for several other projects. As per sources, the PM will also visit the NAMO medical college and lay the foundation for various other projects.

Kochi Water Metro

On April 25, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially launch Kochi Water Metro, the nation’s first water metro service. For continuous communication with Kochi city, this unique project uses battery-operated electric hybrid boats to connect 10 islands nearby.

The port city of Kochi spent Rs 1,136.83 crore to construct the Kochi Water Metro. The Kochi Water Metro has been referred to as the state’s “dream project” by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. He said in a tweet that the transportation and tourist industries in the southern state are in for exciting times.
