Amid the tussle going on between the Centre and opposition, PM Narendra Modi was the first one to wish the chief minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal on his birthday on Wednesday. Taking it to Twitter, PM Modi wrote, “Birthday wishes to Delhi CM Shri @ArvindKejriwal Ji. Praying for his long life and good health.”

Kejriwal who has turned 55 today, thanked PM Modi on Twitter. The tweet reads, “Thank you for your wishes Sir.”

Delhi witnesses lowest inflation: CM Kejriwal

On the occasion of his birthday, CM Kejriwal on Wednesday informed that Delhi has the lowest inflation in the country, according to the Centre’s data.

On August 15, during his address at Chhatrasal Stadium, Kejriwal announced that according to the statistics released by the Central government, Delhi has only a 2% inflation rate, while other states experienced an inflation rate of about 6%.

“In Delhi, we have the lowest inflation rate. Why? Because we provide free electricity, free education, and free water. We also offer free bus rides to women, and treatment is free. These are the reasons Delhi has the lowest inflation,” Kejriwal stated. He also suggested that for the lowest inflation, free services like bus rides, free education, and free electricity.

I am missing Manish: CM Kejriwal on his birthday

Delhi’s chief minister thanked all the people who wished him but also noted that he misses his ex-colleague Manish Sisodia, who has been in jail in an excise duty case. Taking it to Twitter, Kejriwal mentioned, “Today is my birthday. Many people are sending their wishes. Thank you so much! But I miss Manish. He is in jail in a false case. Lets all take a pledge today – that we will do everything within our means to provide best quality education to every child born in India. That will lay the foundation for a strong India. That will help in realising our dream of making India no 1. That will also make Manish happy.”
