An FIR (First Investigation Report) has been lodged against Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) MLA Prakash Surve’s son Raj Surve and others for allegedly on-camera kidnapping a businessman Rajkumar Singh for ransom from the Mumbai’s Goregaon East area on Wednesday, said Mumbai Police. Allegedly, the kidnapping took place at gunpoint.

According to the media reports, around 10 to 15 people stormed into the Global Music Junction office in Goregaon and kidnapped the music company’s CEO. The entire abduction incident was captured in the CCTV footage, which is now all over the internet. In the CCTV footage, 10-15 people are purportedly seen abusing the company’s staff and forcibly taking one person with them.
Speaking about the incident that happened to him, CEO Rajkumar Singh said that he was forcibly picked up from his office and was pressured at gunpoint to settle a business loan given to Manoj Mishra of Patna.
Citing the FIR, the news agency ANI reported, “Rajkumar was taken to MLA Prakash Surve’s office in Dahisar, where the MLA’s son Raj Surve and his men threatened him at gunpoint to settle the matter and not speak about the same to anyone.”
Taking notes from the abduction incident, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi took a dig at the Shinde camp over the incident. “The navratnas of the traitor gang,” she said in a tweet.
