Aimed at creating learning and employment avenues for students, the MoU has been signed by the Odisha government with Infosys Limited and Nasscom for undertaking up-skilling and developing the employability of students of Odisha’s Higher Education Institutes.

According to reports, the partnership will make learning more accessible to bright minds and equip them for the future. Through the Infosys Springboard programme, Infosys hopes to empower over 10 million individuals in India across the socioeconomic spectrum by 2025, following ESG Vision 2030.

As part of Infosys CSR, Infosys Springboard is an entirely free curriculum-rich virtual programme that offers corporate quality learning experiences, on any device, with closer educator-learner collaboration for kids from class sixth to lifelong learners.

Whereas, the MoU with Nasscom aims to skill the students and existing faculty in key technologies which are necessary for today’s digital ecosystem and make India digitally talented. The company is aiming to skill more than 8 lakh students through future skills programmes.

According to the information, the programme will help the student to have open access to various levels of aligned courses, wherein they can apply for the incentives from government. along with this, they will also be able to engage with the company experts which will provide them with career development opportunities.

The information was shared by the Higher Education Department of Odisha, taking it to Twitter, “An MoU was signed between the Higher Education Department, Govt. of Odisha and Infosys Ltd. (Springboard) @InfySpringboard in the presence of Hon’ble Minister of Higher Education, Er. Rohit Pujari.”

The Odisha government in a statement said, “The learning programme is particularly well suited to growing vocational skills, in addition to soft skills. Masterclasses, programming challenges and playgrounds for experimentation make the training immersive for all. This will lead to upskilling and developing the employability of approximately 8 lakh students spread across 1100 HEIs for the department of Government of India.”
