Nuh violence: Khap demands arrest of Monu Manesar

Following the Nuh clashes several khap panchayts and farmer unions have united and called for the arrest of Monu Manesar, a cow vigilante believed to be involved. The mahapanchayat was held on Wednesday to pass the resolution for peace and harmony in the state.

During the addressal, the members involved in the mahapanchayat urged people to maintain peace and harmony and also warned those who are trying to create unrest in the state by using provocative slogans and language for the Muslim community. Notably, Nuh has a predominantly Muslim population.

According to SKM members, several people from Hisar, Jind, Kaithal, Karnal, Bhiwani, Fatehabad and a few other districts took part in the event held by farmer union.

The members of the khap union unanimously asked for the arrest of Bittu Bajrangi and Monu Manesar for provoking the people to be part of the violence. According to these members, Manesar also challenged the minority community before taking out a procession by using derogatory words. They also warned the people not to get involved in any violence.
