An FIR was lodged by the Noida Police on the father of the man who raped and killed a girl seven years ago. The case was filed on the charges of forging documents of his son, the officials said on Wednesday.

Apart from this, the police have also booked the principal of a private school in Kanpur Dehat for aiding the father in forging the mark sheets of his son, they said.

The father has been accused of producing fabricated documents in court to prove that his son who was accused of rape was a juvenile at the time of the crime, as per the officials.

Details of this incident

According to the order issued by the Juvenile Justice Board principal magistrate Divykant Singh Rathore, the father and the principal are accused of misleading the court by showing the rape accused son’s age as 17 at the time of the crime while he was in reality 19, as claimed by the victim’s mother.

The son had allegedly raped and murdered a 17-year-old girl at her rented accommodation in Greater Noida in 2016. The victim and the rape accused were also cousins, reports suggest.

An FIR was launched on October 9 at the local Phase 2 Police Station after an order was given from the Juvenile Justice Board member Arun Kumar Gupta on this matter.

“The man has connived with the principal of a school in Kanpur Dehat district and produced forged and fabricated educational documents for his son which were produced in the court to declare that his son was juvenile at the time of the incident,” the JJB member noted in his October 4 order meant for the local police.

Noida father booked under IPC

Gupta also said that the father and the accused principal have been booked under sections 465 and 468 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The duo also falls under the cognizable offence category, he added.

According to the police, the accused have not been found in their residential area yet and a search for them is underway.

Police teams are working to arrest the accused. The accused were not found at the residential address but searches are underway to ensure their early arrest,” Vindhyachal Tiwari told PTI on Wednesday.
