As the Bihar government released one of the most controversial reports – Bihar caste-based census yesterday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has called for an all-party meeting on Tuesday to share the details of the survey and discuss the necessary steps to be taken in the future regarding it.Nitish Kumar to hold all-party meeting over Bihar caste-based censusThe chief minister has also urged the participation of all the nine parties in the state. It revealed that the Other Backward Classes (OBCs) hold 63% of the states population.Further, the census shows that Scheduled Castes (Scs) account for over 19% of the 13 crore population, while Scheduled Tribes (STs)make up 1.68%.The upper castes, or savarnas, form 15.52% of the states population.
