The chief minister of Karnataka, Siddharamaiah announced that the state government will come up with a new industrial policy that will help in the generation of new employment opportunities and rapid industrialisation.

While addressing the event ‘State Export Excellence Awards’ organised by the Department of Commerce and Industries and Visvesvaraya Trade Promotion Centre (VTPC), he said, “In the past, the industrial policy implemented by our government was appreciated by the industry fraternity. It was known to be the most progressive industrial policy. Our government will shortly discuss with industrialists and the exporters to bring out a new and progressive industrial policy.”

Adding to it further he said that they will implement the new policy and will encourage industrialisation in 2-3 tiers so that everything goes smoothly and everything does not become Bengaluru-centric. The new policies will promote employment and economic development which will further lead to better GDP and law & order in the country.

The chief minister DK Shivakumar, referring to Bengaluru, the IT hub said that “We are also the number 1 choice when it comes to investments. This is a matter of pride for all of us.” The city is a best-in-class educational institution at the level of competing with the world.

Taking it to Twitter, he mentioned, “Spoke at the state best export award ceremony of the Department of Industries and Commerce held at Vidhansouda Banquet Hall today. Bangalore has its own history in the country. The role of political leaders and entrepreneurs is huge for the growth of Bangalore. Karnataka has better opportunities to set up various companies than other states. We are ready to open a separate department for NRIs.”

Adding to it, “Our aim is to create employment for the youth. Our government is with you. Let us all work together and make Bangalore ‘Brand Bangalore’. Entrepreneurs are the asset of the country. You have to think about job creation. Rural children are very intelligent. Let the youth of the village get employment. It said that employment should be created in urban areas as well as in rural areas.”
