Neelam Gorhe will be able to work freely with all her heart for women. She is not defecting anywhere but is joining the original Sena,” he said.Maharashtra Chief Minister also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leading the nation to be a superpower. “We believe we should have a role to play as a state,” he added.Asserting like-mindedness, Deputy CM Fadnavis said Sena-BJP follows the same thought process.“I personally wanted to remain present for the induction and welcome her into the alliance. She spent ten years practicing medicine before turning to social and political activism in 1987.Stree Aadhar Kendra, an organisation dedicated to fostering a gender-neutral society and promoting womens equal rights, was founded by Gorhe in 1984.She has been a devoted Shiv Sena supporter, serving as an MLC since 2002, and has been nominated three times for the upper house. She served as the partys spokeswoman and deputy leader, among other roles. Gorhe has also worked as a socialist and womens rights activist. She joined Shiv Sena in 1998. During her time in the party, she became the deputy chairperson of the legislative council in June 2019.
