Powai police on Monday has registered a murder case, after a 24-year-old woman flight attendant was found dead with throat slit in Mumbai’s apartment.

According to the information, the deceased has been identified as Rupal Ogrey, who hailed from Chhattisgarh and came to Mumbai in April for training with Air India.

The officials have confirmed that Ogrey was found dead late Sunday night in a flat at NG Complex on Krishanlal Marwah Marg in the Marol area of suburban Andheri. The murder case has been registered a case against an unidentified person. They have also set up multiple teams to nab the accused.

During the investigation, police found that the victim was living with her sister and her boyfriend, who left the flat a week ago. When the victim’s family did not get through her mobile call, they called her friends and asked to check her. When no one opened the door, they asked for police help to open the flat with a duplicate key.  

The woman was found lying on the floor and soon rushed to the nearest hospital where she was declared dead. On the basis od preliminary investigation, a case has been registered by the Powai Police under IPC section 302.
