On February 24, 2023, a shocking incident occurred in Meerut, where a student narrowly escaped a fatal attack during board exams. The incident occurred outside Krishak Inter College in the village Jaisinghpur Nangla of the Mawana police station area. Two miscreants, who came intending to kill the student, opened fire in the middle of the road. From there, they were sent to judicial custody. Meanwhile, the student, Nikils son Yogendra, who had come to appear for the examination, was safe and unhurt.
