Expressing concern about the ban on internet services in the violence-hit state since May 3, the Manipur High Court has now asked the state government to look out for ways to resume the services.The directive has been issued by the high court while hearing a batch of pleas seeking the restoration of mobile internet services in the state. During the hearing, the state counsel also said the Manipur government had earlier issued the guidelines and necessary steps for the restoration of the services through ILL and FTTH in a liberated manner.Apart from this, the state counsel has also conducted some physical trials for the restoration of the internet after whitelisting some mobile numbers. In addition to this, the data report which has been submitted by the service provider claims that there is no data leakage to any other numbers which are not whitelisted.Notably, an indefinite ban on internet services has been in effect since the communal clashes broke out in the northeastern state, of Manipur.
