Now, carry alcohol in Delhi Metro. But here’s the condition

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) in its latest tweet has shared the information that from now onwards the passengers are allowed to carry two sealed liquor bottles. The tweet says, “Hi. Yes 2 sealed bottles of alcohol is allowed in Delhi Metro.”

PTI also mentioned in a tweet, “Two sealed bottles of alcohol per person is permitted to be carried inside Delhi Metro, according to revised norms. However, drinking of alcohol inside metro premises is still strictly prohibited.”

Alcohol carrying was previously prohibited on the Delhi Metro save on the Airport Express Line. Alcohol consumption is still severely prohibited within metro premises. In the past 20 years, the Delhi Metro has transformed into one of the most practical forms of travel and has become a lifeline for the city.
