Notorious Indian gangster Sharad Mohol was shot dead on Friday (January 5) afternoon in Pune by members of his gang, police reported. Eight suspects were later arrested along the Pune-Satara road.Shooting in broad daylightThree to four gunmen opened fire at near point-blank range on the 40-year-old Mohol while he was in the Sutardara area of Kothrud around 1:30 PM. A bullet pierced his chest and two bullets entered the right shoulder, a police official said. Police officials said nine separate teams have been dedicated to the probe. Three pistols, magazines, and ammunition were seized from the vehicle carrying the eight apprehended suspects.
