Maharashtra minister’s vehicle vandalised amid Maratha quota stir, 3 detained so far

In Maharashtra, some unidentified people vandalised a vehicle in the convoy of the state minister and NCP leader Hasan Mushrif on Wednesday. The Mumbai Police detained three suspects people in connection with the incident.

Meanwhile, Mushrif was not present in the vehicle at the time of the incident.

Amid this incident, the security at the minister’s residence has been heightened.

In the video, two people can be seen shattering the minister’s car glass while raising slogans for the Maratha reservation at the MLAs’ residence near Akashvani in Mumbai.

After the pro-Maratha reservation protests gripped Pune city on Tuesday, the city police charged more than 400 people for blocking and burning tyres on Pune-Bengaluru National Highway 48.

According to Pune Police, 10 people have been identified as of now and the process to identify others is on. Moreover, the protesters were booked under IPC sections 143, 146, 188, 336 at Sinhgad Road Police Station, they said.
