A shocking incident has been reported from Maharashtra’s Raigad district, where a 15-year-old student lost his life during the practice session of javelin at school.
According to the information, Hujefa Daware, the young student, was struck by a javelin thrown by another student in a freak accident that happened at INT English School in Purar, Raigad district.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Hujefa was bent down to tie his shoelace, while being unaware that the pointed object was moving towards the incident spot. As per school administration, Hujefa was an active member of javelin team at the school and had been preparing for the upcoming taluka level tournament. The incident turned fateful on Wednesday afternoon when students were practicing at the school’s ground.
The administration also informed that the student was hit in his head and due to loss of blood with the sharp stick, he died on the spot, before he could be taken to the hospital.
Meanwhile, the police have registered an accidental case in the incident and will examine where the incident happened due to negligence of the student who threw the stick. The police officials have been scanning the CCTV footage of the school ground to identify the lack and cause of incident.
