In Mumbai, The investigation wing of the Income Tax Department conducted raids at at least 50 locations in Polycab India on Friday.According to the reports, the homes and offices of the management officials linked to the firm were also being raided.Polycab India Limited is Indias largest manufacturer of wires and cables.The companys business operations span across the country through 23 manufacturing facilities, over 15 offices and 25 warehouses.The company, in September, reported a 59 per cent rise in profit at Rs 426 crore.On December 11, Polycabs market capitalisation was near the Rs 85,000 crore mark, surpassing Havells India.
