A heart-wrenching incident happened in Madhya Pradesh, when four members of a family lost their lives and two were injured after a scrap-laden truck fell on their car while trying to overtake it as thick fog enveloped the national highway in Guna this morning (December 26).

Details of incident

According to the police, a couple and two of their daughters from MP’s Rajgarh district died in this tragedy that happened on NH 46 near Guna’s Gadha amid poor visibility due to fog.

The injured passengers in the car were pulled out of the car and were rushed to a nearby hospital immediately.

How this incident happened on NH 46?

This incident happened when the scrap-laden truck tried to overtake the car, resulting in losing control of the vehicle and falling on the car.

As per the sources, the truck was carrying more than 40 tonnes of scrap and the moment it fell on the car, it was reduced to a mangled and flattened vehicle.

Police contacted the relatives of the victims with the help of the car’s registration number.

Cranes, JCB used to lift truck

As the truck was too heavy, cranes were used to lift it and a JCB machine to remove the scrap.

Police said they could move the truck only after taking out the scrap, adding that locals also reached out to help the victims.
