A case has been registered with the Madhya Pradesh police, after a brother and sister were brutally beaten, after being mistaken for lovers on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
According to the reports, the victim has been identified as Atul and his sister were beaten up by the locals. The siblings, after the incident lodged a complaint with the police under IPC and SC/ST act against the three accused.
During the preliminary investigation, it also came into notice that the accused belonged from a Hindu organisation. However, police have clarified that there is no evidence to prove such claim. The police also said that investigation is underway and action will be taken accordingly.
While addressing media persons on the incident, the City Superintendent of Police said, “Those accused are lined up with the Bajrang Dal on social media, but it is completely wrong. Till now, there has been no information about their any connection with Bajrang Dal.”
Adding to this, the official further said that complaint has been filed but there is no connection found with Bajrang Dal. He further briefed that victim, Atul Chowdhary and his sister were standing at eatery near the temple located on Satai Road, when they were assaulted by the accused. He also assured of an action against the accused in connection with the case.
