Shivraj Singh Chouhan, BJP leader and the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh before heading for casting his vote in the ongoing Assembly Elections in the state on Friday said, "There is immense excitement among people everywhere. I am getting love from Ladli Behna, children, youth and the elderly in the state..."
Today, CM Chouhan along with his wife casted their vote in the ongoing assembly elections in the state.
Before this, the Chief Minister appealed people of the state to come out in large numbers and exercise their franchise.
Taking it to X, he tweeted, “Best wishes to all the voters of the state on the great festival of democracy...”
“'Voting' is the right and duty of every citizen. I request all my brothers, sisters and nephews and nieces of Madhya Pradesh to exercise their franchise and participate in the progress and development of the state. “First voting, then refreshments.”, he added.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and son of Kailash Vijayvargiya, Akash Vijayvargiya, on Friday said "We will form the government comfortably and run it efficiently".
Meanwhile, Kamal Nath, State Congress president and party's candidate from Chhindwara expressed his positive outlook regarding the Congress Party's performance in the assembly election while casting his vote on Friday and said "I have faith in the entire state that they will side with the truth. I trust the public and the voters."
"I have faith in the entire state that they will side with the truth. I trust the public and the voters. I am not Shivraj Singh, that I will say that we will win these many or that many seats. The public will decide the number of seats..." he said.
Madhya Pradesh, which is going under Assembly polls today, will decide the electoral fate of 2,533 candidates in 230 assembly seats, including political bigwigs like Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his predecessor and rival Kamal Nath, in a poll that will be a largely bipolar battle between the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress.
