The third leg of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.I.D.I.A) meeting took place in Mumbai for two days with the formal meeting being held on Friday, September 1 and there are reports that the fourth leg of the national level meeting is likely to be held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

Day 2 of the Mumbai meeting saw debates and discussion which majorly focussed on 2024 Lok Sabha Polls including seat-sharing arrangements in the state, key panels, and a public campaign next month. The grand alliance of 28 opposition leaders also announced a resolution to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections jointly.

However, finalising of the logo for the alliance and the appointment of a convener could not be decided in the meeting and has been postponed however the opposition‘s conclave witnessed a clear attempt to ensure that the unity is maintained.

Next venue of INDIA bloc meeting

It is very crucial to select a venue for the fourth meet-up as the state assembly elections are right around the corner. However, according to sources, Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh is very likely to be the next place for the opposition to conduct their fourth meet.

It will be another non-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled state where the fourth meeting of the alliance will likely take place.

Rahul Gandhi’s first meeting with INDIA

In the Mumbai meeting, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attended the INDIA bloc meet for the first time and said that the leaders are showing flexibility to stick together while Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal pointed out that powerful people are trying to break the alliance and insisted that none of the INDIA leaders are eyeing for any post.

Rahul Gandhi also asserted that his party will replicate its win in Karnataka in poll-bound Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan.
