The son of former BJP MLA, Narendra Mehta crashed his Lamborghini Huracan Coupe My15, into the railing of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link on Saturday, according to police.
As per police reports, Mehta’s son Taksheel was driving the luxury vehicle on Saturday morning when he allegedly lost control and ended up ramming into the railing of the Sea Link.
Police complaint said that the incident took place at around 7.30 a.m. on the southbound direction of the Bandra-Worli sea link. No casualties have been reported except for Taksheel sustaining some burn injury to his right hand, a police official said.
The former Mira-Bhayander MLA Narendra Mehta’s son Taksheel has been booked under sections 279 (rash driving) and 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the Indian Penal Code.
Earlier in 2016 the MLA’s wife Suman was also involved in a minor accident when her Lamborghini collided with a stationary auto in Mira Bhayandar.
“Soon after the message was forwarded to the police station, traffic police along with different teams were sent to the spot after which the Lamborghini was taken off the sea link with the help of a towing vehicle,” said an officer.
As per reports, the police are also trying to determine if this is a case of drunk driving.
