Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala expressed his views on the recent violence that occurred in Nuh district, stating that the situation could have been avoided if the organisers of the religious procession had provided ‘proper estimation’ to the administration about the expected number of participants.

The shobha yatra, organised by right-wing organisations Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal, was attacked by anti-social elements, leading to the violent incident.

Addressing reporters in Delhi on Monday, Dushyant Chautala, a leader of the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP), described the Nuh incident as unprecedented in Haryana’s history and stressed that it could have been prevented with better planning and communication.

“The organizers of Monday’s event did not give proper information about the expected number of participants, and this seems to be the cause behind the widespread damage,” Chautala stated in a video circulating on social media platforms.

Dushyant Chautala further highlighted Mewat’s historical significance and its contribution to India, both during the pre-Independence period when the Mughals attacked the country and in the post-Independence era.

“People of Mewat fought for the Independence of India. What happened in Nuh on Monday is unprecedented in the history of Haryana and those behind this incident must be identified and punished as per law,” he said.

‘Culprits will not be spared’: Haryana deputy CM on Monu Manesar accusations

When asked about allegations that Monu Manesar, a prominent Bajrang Dal leader from Mewat, allegedly instigated the crowd, Dushyant asserted that the culprits would not be spared, regardless of their political affiliations.

“The culprits will not be spared irrespective of their political affiliations. Tough action will be taken against those who aggravated the situation irrespective of whether they belong to a political party or a social organisation,” Chautala said.

Earlier, Nuh’s Congress Minister Chaudhary Aftab Ahmed had accused Monu Manesar of provoking the Hindus and claimed that they were carrying weapons during the event. Manesar is a fugitive from the law in connection with the murder of two people in a case of cow vigilantism.
