Manjot Singh, a medical aspirant, who died after committing suicide in Rajasthan’s Kota, informed his friends that he will next in the line to take the extreme step, during the discussion on suicides in Rajasthan.

According to the police officials, the suicide note that has been recovered from the site of the incident claims that he is responsible for this step and requested not to disturb his family and friends. Apart from this, he has also dropped a birthday wish for his father, which says ‘Happy birthday PAPA”.

As per sources, 18-year-old, Manjot Singh was an intelligent student who scored 93% in class 12 results. The deceased also dropped another note saying ‘SORRY’ for this extreme step and no one should be held responsible.

The preliminary investigation reveals that Manjot was a medical aspirant who hailed from Rampur, Uttar Pradesh and came to Kota, Rajasthan a few months back after getting enrolled in the coaching.

Manjot’s body was found hanging in his hostel room. Soon after the incident, the hostel authorities were informed and subsequently, the police were called.

Noteworthy is, that suicide cases among students have now become the subject of discussion. Reports claim that more than 15 students died in Kota in 2022. Before this, a 17-year-old student preparing for the IIT entrance exam committed suicide.
