North Korean leader Kim Jong Un went to visit an aeronautics factory on Friday following his summit with President Vladimir Putin in Russias Far East.According to media reports, Kims bullet train left from the space station where He and Putin had their meeting and arrived in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, located in the far east of Russia.The DPRK leader is in the city, an important Russian industrial centre to visit an aviation firm that produces military and civil equipmentVisuals of Kim leaving on his train and arriving in Komsomolsk-on-Amur have been published by many media agencies. In the footage, its shown that he was welcomed with a red carpet by the Russian delegates. Apart from this Kim was also greeted with flowers, music, a dance group and ceremonial loaves of bread, as per media reports.Kim Jong Un and Putin SummitEarlier this week Kim had travelled from North Korea to Russias spaceport, Vostochny Cosmodrome to have bilateral talks with Putin on Wednesday.Putin had also mentioned about Kims visit to the aviation firm on Friday. He said that Kim “will visit factories where civilian and combat aviation equipment is produced” in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.There were speculations about the two countries agreeing on an arms deal amidst the ongoing Ukraine-Russia war. US officials and experts have said Moscow is interested in buying North Korean ammunition to use in the war.Both Russia and DPRK have not yet confirmed this speculation. Kim said that this meeting was a success and said that he is sure Russia would win a “great victory” over its enemies as the Western allies of Ukraine warned of a possible Russian arms agreement with Pyongyang.US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller also issued a warning at a briefing in response to questions about this meeting between leaders of Russia and North Korea.He said that the Biden administration “wont hesitate” to press more sanctions on North Korea and Russia in the event of an arms deal between them.
