Bengaluru: In a shocking and gruesome incident, a woman government official in Karnataka, identified as Pratima, serving as the Deputy Director in the Mines and Geology Department, met a horrifying end in her own home in Bengaluru. The gruesome reality came to light when Pratima's elder brother arrived at her home on Sunday morning, only to find her lifeless body. He had made several attempts to reach her the previous night but received no response. Concerned for her well-being, he immediately contacted the police to report the harrowing incident.

The police authorities are wasting no time and have launched a comprehensive investigation into the shocking murder. Multiple teams, including forensic and technical experts, have been deployed to the scene, working tirelessly to uncover the truth behind this devastating crime.

Bengaluru City's Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Division, Rahul Kumar Shahapurwad, provided insight into the ongoing investigation, stating, "Forensic and technical teams are at work on the spot. Three teams have been formed for investigation. We will be able to share further information once we get to know exactly what happened."

CM Siddaramaiah vows justice

The Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, expressed his grief and determination to bring the perpetrators to justice. He assured the public that a thorough investigation is underway. "I just got to know about it. We will inquire into it. It seems that she was staying alone (in Bengaluru), while her husband was in his native village. The reason is not yet known, we will inquire into it," he stated.
