A tragic incident took place in Jharkhand’s Jamshedpur when a 25-year-old was allegedly shot dead by his friend on the suspicion of stealing his phone, a police officer said.  

The victim has been identified as Vishal Prasad while the accused is identified as Abhishek Lal. The accused shot dead his friend on Saturday night after he suspected the victim of stealing his phone, says the police.  

Details of Jamshedpur shooting  

Abhishekh a resident of the Ranikudar area had gone to visit his friend Vishal’s house on Saturday morning and asked him to return his phone. Vishal tried to convince his friend that he did not steal his phone and had no idea about it. However, the discussion turns into an argument later which leads to Vishal’s death later in the evening.

According to the police officer, Abhisekh called Vishal on Saturday night and took him to Ramdas Bhatta area, where he allegedly shot him in the chest.  

He was immediately rushed to the Tata Main Hospital, where he died of his injuries. 

The police have registered a case against the accused and have also launched a manhunt to arrest Abhishek, who is currently missing.
