The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has conducted raids in various places in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district as part of an ongoing investigation into a terror-related case, officials from the federal agency said on Friday.
The targeted raids are currently underway in two specific areas of the south Kashmir district – Sethergund and Ugergund. A combined team of NIA officials, along with local police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, executed the operation early in the morning.
The officials raised and searched residential structures in the area as part of this focused operation.
The search and seizure operations form part of the NIA’s efforts to uncover and dismantle networks involved in the raising of funds to support terrorist activities.
More information about the NIA’s raids is awaited.
This follows the NIA’s recent operations on Tuesday, which encompassed extensive searches across multiple districts within the Kashmir valley. The targeted regions included Srinagar, Budgam, Kupwara, and Pulwama.
The primary focus of these searches was on trusts and individuals associated with the Jammu Kashmir Coalition of Civil Societies (JKCCS), an organization allegedly linked to the financing of banned terrorist entities.
