J-K: 2 Army personnel killed in encounter with terrorists in Rajouri

Two Army personnel were killed in an encounter between India's security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Bajimaal area of Dharmsal in Rajouri district. Rajouri district on Wednesday, PTI reported, citing officials.

As per the police, following a cordon-and-search operation, the encounter broke out between the terrorists and joint forces of the Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Bajimaal area of Dharmsal.

In the encounter, one officer and a soldier were killed, PTI reported, citing officials. As per the reports from PTI, One officer was injured and has been shifted to the local hospital.

Second encounter in past 5 days

Earlier on Friday, security forces killed five Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists in the Kulgam district of south Kashmir in one of the fiercest encounters of this year.

The officials confirmed that several of them attacked the Padits and migrant laborers this year.
