Prime Minister Narendra Modi today during the Rozgar Mela has said that the government is investing heavily on infrastructure in Uttrakhand to make the life of people easier who are living in far-flung areas, besides generating jobs opportunities. Prime Minister made this remark during the virtual opening of Rozgar Mela for Uttrakhand today.Prime Minister Narendra Modi last year, on the occasion of Dhanteras, launched the first phase of Rozgar Mela at the central level. In this phase, approximately 75,000 appointment letters were handed over to new recruits. The drive to create 10 lakh government employment officially kicked off with this event.After that, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke at similar employment fairs in Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, and Maharashtra, among other states. With a rise in demand in the transport sector, youth in Uttarakhand are getting fresh employment opportunities.”On the migration of people from Uttrakhand to urban areas, he said that improved infrastructure and road-connectivity will give them job opportunities, including the domestic tourism sector.Prime Minister also added, “We have to change the old thinking which said pahar ka pani aur pahar ki jawani doesnt serve the locals residing in the hills. We must change it,” adding there have been continuous efforts by the government to send back youth to their villages while providing them with better employment avenues.Prime Minister while addressing the youth said that, “You should contribute wholeheartedly in building of the State as well as the nation. The New Education Policy has been focused towards preparing well the youth for the new century through your services, you are supposed to carry forward and further strengthen this mission.”He also added, “MUDRA loans over worth Rs. 38 crore have been disbursed so far in the country. Its the maiden voyage for many women, SCs, STs and youth as entrepreneurs in life. Not only in Uttarakhand, but entrepreneurs all across the country have been benefited greatly through such policy initiatives by the government.”Last month, the new recruits who were handed over the appointment letters at the third edition of Rozgar Mela lauded the rapid and transparent process by the centre.
