Towards a major success, doctors in Indore have removed a 15-kg tumour from the body of a patient. Ashta, a woman, approached Index Hospital in the city complaining of stomach ache.

After the medical examination, doctors found a tumour in her stomach and suggested her surgery. The abdomen of the 41-year-old patient had a two-hour operation that was completed by a group of more than a dozen medical professionals and support personnel. The decision to do the surgical operation was made, according to Dr Atul Vyas, a member of the surgical team, since the patient’s large tumour was making it difficult for them to move and even eat.

The doctors informed that they were very cautious during the surgery as any mistake could have been fatal. Doctors also said that tumour was surrounded by many nerves, so it was not easy for them. However, they were successful in doing that.

A team of doctors further informed that the tumour was about to burst which could have led to the patient’s death.

The chairman of Index Hospital, Suresh Singh Bhadouria and vice chairman Mayankraj Singh Bhadouria praised the team for the successful surgery.
