Heavy rain fell in several sections of Delhi today, including the Pragati Maidan area, which is holding the 18th G20 Leaders’ Summit.

The weather office has predicted that light to moderate-intensity rain with thunderstorms would continue over the national capital and adjoining areas. According to the IMD, the maximum temperature in Delhi in the last 24 hours was 32 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was 24 degrees Celsius.

Heavy rain was pelting Bharat Mandapam, the venue for the massive G20 Summit.This outpouring in the national capital has caused waterlogging in various regions, posing a challenge for officials.


On Saturday night, light rain fell in numerous areas of Delhi, including Safdarjung, the airport, Rajghat, Vasant Kunj, Munirka, Narela, and others, and persisted until Sunday morning.

According to the weather forecast, more rain is predicted to fall on Delhi in the coming days, providing relief from the humid weather that has persisted in the national capital for the past several days.

IMD has also forecasted rain in several districts of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
“Mattanhail, Jhajjar, Farukhnagar, Kosali (Haryana) Sikandrabad, Bulandshahar, Shikarpur, Pahasu, Debai, Narora, Atrauli, Iglas, Raya, Hathras, Mathura, Jalesar, Sadabad, Agra, Jajau (U.P.) during next 2 hours,” IMD said.
