Five people were killed in ethnic confrontations in Haryana on Tuesday. The naib imam of the Anjuman Jama Masjid, which is situated in Sector 57, was killed after the mosque was allegedly set on fire by a crowd of 70 to 80 people.

Following the racist incident on Monday, which happened during the “Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra” hosted by the Bajrang Dal and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and left at least four people dead, including two home guards, security has been increased up in the Nuh district. Twelve police officers were hurt as a result of the conflict. The injuries were allegedly brought on by stone-throwing and shooting.

In order to stop the violence from spreading further, a curfew was put in place in Nuh on Tuesday. Additionally, central troops were sent to the region, and internet service was shut off in a few more nearby areas.

According to the sources, several shops in the area were vandalised in the main market. In Sector 66, seven stores were set ablaze.

However, the situation is under control according to the officials. The curfew under CrPC section 144 has been imposed and internet services have shut down in Nuh and Gurugram.

Violent incidents were reported at several places. There seems to be a big conspiracy behind this. Heavy police have been deployed in Nuh district and nearby areas. Curfew has also been imposed in Nuh and Section 144 has been imposed in some places. Around 44 FIRs have been registered and 70 people have been taken into custody.
