Haryana Govt: Major reshuffling of 20 IPS officers

Major reshuffling and transfer of 20 IPS officers with immediate effect was ordered on Monday by the Haryana government. This order for reshuffling came forward barely 20 days after the appointment of Shatrujeet Kapur as the new Director General of Police after his predecessor P K Agarwal’s term came to an end on August 15.

The Commissioner of Gurugram Kala Ramachandran is one of the few people to be transferred due to this order. She was the first woman to be appointed as the police commissioner of Haryana in 2022 and now she has been posted as the ADGP, Administration (Haryana), relieving Arshinder Singh Chawla of this charge.

The present commissioner of Faridabad Vikas Aurora will be the new commissioner of Gurugram making him only the second IPS to hold the top position in two NCR cities – Gurugram and Faridabad – one after another.

Vikas Aurora will be replaced by Rakesh Kumar Arya as per the government order on Monday.


Other Transfers by Haryana Government


Among the ones rescheduled in this order include Om Prakash Singh, Additional DGP (crime), who has been posted as ADGP, Haryana, State Narcotics Control Bureau, Panchkula headquarter, and ADGP, Cybercrime who relieved Amitabh Singh Dhillon from the charge of Inspector General of Police, HSNCB and IGP, Cybercrime, according to the government order.

Mamta Singh, ADGP (law and order) with additional charge of ADGP, Haryana Enforcement Bureau, and ADGP, Regional Training Centre, Bhondsi, Gurugram will now be relieved of her additional charge of ADGP, Haryana State Enforcement Bureau and instead AS Chawla, ADGP, Administration, with additional charge of ADGP, Telecom-IT will be the new ADGP, Haryana Enforcement Burea take over this charge.

M Ravi Kiran, ADGP, South Range, Rewari will now be the ADGP, Prisons, relieving Alok Kumar Roy of his additional charge as ADGP, Prisons. Rajender Kumar, IGP, CM Flying Squad, will be the new IGP, South Range.

Rakesh Arya the current IGP of Rohtak Range, will take over Arora’s position as the Faridabad police chief. And will be replaced by former Gurgaon Police Chief K K Rao, ADGP as the new ADGP Rohtak range.

Amitabh Singh Dhillon, IGP, HSNCB, Madhuban, with additional charge of IGP, Modernisation, and IGP Cyber has been transferred and will now take office as IGP, Anti-Corruption Bureau with additional charge of IGP Modernisation and Welfare.

Simardeep Singh, DIG, STF, Haryana, Bhondsi, will hold additional charge of DIG, Prisons. Virender Kumar, DCP, Traffic, Gurugram will also hold additional charge of DCP, East, Gurugram, and will be in-charge of the Emergency Response System.

Nitish Agarwal, DCP, East, Gurugram will be the new Superintendent of Police, Mahendergarh in place of Vikrant Bhushan, who will join as the new SP of Sirsa.
