On Wednesday morning, a bus near Chandi Chowki in Haridwar ran off the road, leaving two people, including a child dead and four others critically injured.According to a statement released by SDRF representatives, “A bus accident occurred in Haridwar near Chandi Chowk on Najibabad Road. Uncontrolled, the bus plunged 20 metres below the main road. The bus driver and a 10-month-old baby girl have passed away.”Reportedly, the bus was on its way to Haridwar from Rupahiya carrying a total of 41 people. According to the information, the injured have been admitted to the nearest hospital and are undergoing treatment. As soon as the Uttarakhand police got the information, teams of SDRF and Fire Service personnel reached the spot.Further details awaited.
