A horrific incident has been reported from Gujarats Rajkot where an eight-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped, gang-raped and bludgeoned to death with a stone. The police on Monday have arrested three in connection with the case.The police informed that all three accused are known to the girls father. The official further said that the body of the child have been recovered from an isolated spot behind a railway station in the city on October 7, a day after missing report.The police arrested all the three accused on the basis of CCTV footage and intelligence inputs.Additional commissioner of police Vidhi Chaudhary, while speaking to media persons said that accused were known to victims father. “The accused raped and murdered the victim by bashing her head in with a stone. The accused killed the girl as they were known to her father and feared that she might tell him about them,” Chaudhary told reporters.As per a release issued by the crime branch of the city, the CCTV footage showed one of the accused was walking with the victim on the night she went missing from her home. The trio took the girl into the bushes and raped her before killing her using a big stone, the statement continued.
