On March 13th, 8:50 am, a massive group of Buddhist Monks arrived at the resting place at Khoriya Bazar Irrigation Department. This is one of their rest stops in their Padayatra. The monks came from South Korea, walking through their path. The peace-spreading Buddhist Monks prayed in the place for the prosperity of the world.

The Bhuddist Padayatra

Hundred and eight Buddhist monk group also includes fifteen women. They walked their Padayatra from south Korea to India. The Padayatra is a prayer for completing fifty years of relationship between India and Korea. The monks reached Khoriya Bazar Irrigation Department at Maharajganj from Sarnath to Bodh Gaya through Rajgir, Nalanda, Vaishali, and Kushinagar. 

The prayer

The monks arrived at the rest stop at Khoriya Bazar and were received humbly with a flower shower by the villagers. Following the prayer, they settled for some rest before continuing their Padayatra to Lumbini from Khoriya Bazar—the birthplace of Buddha.

The monks prayed for the world’s prosperity, the peaceful relationship between the countries, and the recovery from the pandemic and other natural causes. The group’s guru, Chhang Ho Su Nim, led the prayer for all the blessings and fortunes of the people worldwide. 

Security 

The safety of the group of monks was officially given to the Deputy District Magistrate Dinesh Kumar for their safe and comfortable stay at Khoriya Bazar as the monks will be starting their Padayatra towards Lumbini from Khoriya Bazar, Maharajganj. 

A south Korean Buddhist monk group arrived at Khoriya Bazar, Maharajganj, this Monday at 8:50 in the morning. They reached their resting spot in Khoriya Bazar and prayed for liberation from the hard times and blessings for peace and prosperity for the people worldwide. The prayer was led by their Guru Chhang Ho Su Nim. 

After passing through all the places on their Padayatra, they will leave for Lumbini from Khoriya Bazar. Deputy District Magistrate Dinesh Kumar has been appointed for their security during their stay in Khoriya Bazar.
