Nearly 60 kilometres from the state capital Panaji, in South Goa’s Sanguem, a car carrying three persons, including a kid, crashed into a stream after veering off a bridge.

The deceased have been identified as Milind Naik (38), Rekha Yadav Naik (35), and their son, who was between two and three years old.

According to the officials, the body of Milind was recovered about 10 am on Tuesday, while the mother and child’s remains were discovered inside the vehicle when it was recovered immediately after the collision around 11 pm on Monday.

After the preliminary reports, officials claimed that the driver lost the control of the car while approaching the bridge. Only an elder daughter who was not travelling with the family at the time of the incident has survived in the family.
