With top world leaders set to attend the G20 summit, Delhi is also decked up to welcome the prominent leaders from across the world. US President Joe Biden, Chinese President Xi Jinping and leaders from other member countries are expected to make their presence for the G20 summit,

According to the sources, almost 3,500 rooms across big and small hotels in Delhi and Gurgaon have been booked. To serve the top leaders, over 10,000 hospitality professionals have been instructed to be present across 30 prominent hotels across central and south Delhi, Aerocity and Gurgaon at Haryana.

In addition to this, Delhi Police, Ministry of External Affairs and other embassies also have been going through mock drills for the security arrangements.

Here’s the list of few hotels who will serve the G20 guests:

ITC Maurya, Taj Mansingh, Taj Palace, Hotel Oberoi, Hotel Lalit, The Lodhi, Le Meridian, Hyatt Regency, Shangri-La, Leela Palace, Hotel Ashoka, Eros Hotel, The Surya, Radisson Blue Plaza, JW Marriott, Sheraton, The Leela Ambience Convention, Hotel Pullman, Rosette Hotel and The Imperial will be occupied in Delhi.

For NCR: The Vivanta (Surajkund), ITC Grand (Gurugram), Taj City Centre (Gurugram), Hyatt Regency (Gurugram), The Oberoi (Gurugram), WestINN (Gurugram), Crown Plaza (Greater Noida).

Security arrangements for G20:

According to the sources, about 50 teams of CRPF guards will be deployed for the security of G20 delegates.

What all will be closed during G20 summit in Delhi?

As per guideline by the ministry, as a part of security measures, all establishments, including schools, offices, restaurants, malls, and markets in New Delhi, will be closed from September 8 to September 10. The premises of the Supreme Court will also remain closed during this period.

Metro Service Restrictions during G20:

Delhi Metro services will also be restricted. Boarding and de-boarding at Supreme Court Metro Station will also not be allowed on September 9 and 10 from 5 am to 11 pm.

As a part of G20 Summit preparations, DMRC has developed a state-of-the-art pedestrian plaza at the entrance of Supreme Court Metro Station. The plaza has been decorated with seating and lightning facilities with the aesthetic landscaping to enhance the beauty of the area.
