An amazing video of Bengaluru ‘aqua woman’ Sucheta Deb Burman, who is an elite ultra-marathon swimmer, swimming for almost 36 kilometres from Mumbai’s Worli sea link to one of the famous attraction tourist spots, Gateway of India is now all over the internet. In the viral video, Burman, a resident of Bengaluru, can be seen treading in the Arabian Sea waters just next to the dolphins by her side.

On August 04, Sucheta shared a throwback video on her Instagram, in which she completed the daring feat in January 2022. And guess what? Immediately, the internet blew up watching her swimming post, definitely, that’s in Sucheta’s style. The video received more than 30.6 lakh views and 3.7 lakh likes.

Talking about the details, she took approximately 8 hours and 46 minutes to complete her entire swim. She started at noon and completed it at around 8.45 pm.

While recalling her swimming adventure, she said, “There were dolphins swimming with me. This was unexpected in Bombay (Mumbai). It was a thrilling experience for me. It was a blessing for me to have dolphins playing around in the water while I swam. They were jumping in and out of the water.”

“It’s safer for swimmers when dolphins are around them. Throughout the day they were with me. I felt safe with them” she added.

That’s not it, Burman also made headlines for completing a two-way swim across Palk Straits, covering a distance of 62 kilometres in March this year.
