Amid the changing weather in Delhi, the national capital is likely to experience rainfall on 15 and 16 October. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) a new western disturbance is going to hit the western Himalayan region from Friday.

 The wind speed is also expected to be between four to 12 km per hour during this period. The sky will be clear for most of the day except for a light fog in the morning.

Meanwhile the minimum temperature in Delhi today is likely to hover around 25 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature might reach 36 degrees Celsius. The wind speed will be around 3.54 and will move around 302 degrees with a gust speed of 5.95.

 The weather agency said that this disturbance is also likely to affect the neighboring areas resulting in chances of rain in the hilly areas of Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The weather is expected to remain bad in these areas till October 15

 Delhi experienced a sunny day on Tuesday which affected both maximum and minimum temperatures which were higher than usual. The maximum temperature was 36.1 degrees while the minimum temperature was 22.7 degrees Celsius. Both are two degrees more than normal. The humidity level in the air ranged from 86 to 45 per cent.

As per the seven-day weather prediction, the temperature in Delhi is likely to reach 26 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, 26 degrees Celsius on Thursday, 27 degrees Celsius on Friday, 28 degrees Celsius on Saturday, 28 degrees Celsius on Sunday, 26 degrees Celsius on Monday and 26 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was 180 on Tuesday. This level of air is classified as ‘moderate’. However, the air quality in Delhi is likely to worsen between Wednesday to Friday, according to the Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi.
