The residents of the national capital witnessed the temperature drop as the gusty wind along with rain and thunder swept parts of Delhi-NCR on Monday. The rain brought a very chilly winter morning on Tuesday, October 17 as the mercury was brought down to 30.5 degrees Celsius, three notches below the seasons average. Minimum may also fall.”The air quality index (AQI) on Monday showed that the air quality fell to poor category as the 24-hour AQI at 4 pm was recorded at 207. However, the air quality is expected to stay at the moderate category on Tuesday.An AQI between 0-50 is considered “good”, 51-100 “satisfactory”, 101-200 “moderate”, 201-300 “poor”, 301-400 “very poor” and 401-500 “severe”. An AQI above 500 falls in the “severe plus” category.The weather agency has said that the sky will generally remain cloudy on Tuesday with the possibility of light rain or thundershowers.The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 31 and 20 degrees Celsius, respectively.
