The maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to be around 28 degrees Celcius and the minimum will hover around 16 degrees Celcius on Wednesday. After the sudden showers on Monday evening, the temperature in Delhi took a drastic turn leading to a drop in mercury. The overall air quality Index (AQI) was also at 83 on Wednesday.

Delhi on Tuesday recorded a high of 26.2 degrees Celsius, seven notches below normal and the lowest maximum temperature reported in October this year, as per the weather department. The minimum temperature was also recorded at 17.2 degrees Celcius on Tuesday.

Gusty winds, thunder and rain lashed parts of Delhi-NCR on Monday night. From 8:30 a.m. on Monday to 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, the city logged 5 mm of rainfall, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) data.

According to the weather agency, Delhi is now experiencing the onset of winter and it will remain cool in Delhi-NCR. The agency also said that the weather changed because of the active western disturbances.

On Monday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 30.5 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season’s average.
